A Valentine Gift
Valentine's Day is a special day
It comes but once a year
Tradition is to buy a gift
For someone very dear.
Candy, trinkets, a big bouquet
Are gifts to name a few
A generous but pricey way
Of saying, "I love you."
If money is no problem
These gifts are very fine
But can't compare with 'I love you'
Found in a Valentine!
March
March is like a woman
Who can't make up her mind
Her unpredictability
Is somewhat out of line.
She'll fool you into thinking
That spring is on the way
The forecast calls for sunshine
Instead it pours that day.
Her wind may be ferocious
Or just a nippy breeze
Who knows if she's decided
A warming trend or freeze.
Whoever said the month of March
Is like a roaring lion
Just never met a woman
Who can't make up her mind!

Thankful
Today I shall be blue, wearing nothing new;
It fits the way I feel.
Today I shall be blue, to say this to you;
to smile is not to be.
Today I shall be pink, to sit and to think,
of the wonder of my life.
Today I shall be pink, to smile and to wink,
at every child here.
Today I shall be red, I jumped out of bed,
eager to face the day.
Today I shall be red, my wings they are spread;
Watch out world, here I come.
Today I shall be white. I'm pure and a delight;
A smile on my face.
Today I shall be white. Maybe I'll fly a kite?
And soar along with it.
Today I shall be green, and that is to mean,
I will blossom and will bloom.
Today I shall be green, an insect on the screen,
will lead me out the door.
Today I shall be yellow, and feel nice and
mellow,
with a puppy in my arms.
Today I shall be yellow, and dance with a fellow,
and dazzle with my charms.
Today I'm wearing black, and nothing I shall
lack,
to be a queen for the day.
Today I'm wearing black, and this is it for fact;
a fun day it shall be.
