Viva Las Vegas
by Jack Nichols

It has been over a week now that the Con in Vegas has come and gone.  I believe it was the best Con yet.  Met all my old acquaintances and made some new ones.  Thanks to all who made this Con the greatest.  It was nice to met Linda Binns again. I didn't recognize her at first, it has been about 2 years or so since I've last seen her. Hasn't aged a bit, maybe that is why I didn't recognize her!  She had introduced her son to everyone.  He is quite a gentleman. Hope he is able to come to our future Cons.

I've met the other BOD members and also my old pal from Canada. No we didn't do any special things like the ladies would of wanted us too. Lorne and I remember the Minn Con!,  and we were prefect gentlemen. lol  I was a good kid till I met up with a group that corrupted me.  It was the group that introduced me to Fremont street.  After a roller coaster ride from the hotel to Fremont, we got out of the cab and almost felt like kissing solid ground again!   Linda W was the chief of corrupters, and took several pictures of us men posing with the cutest young ladies of the casinos.  they were outside the casino trying to attract customers to come in,but instead got us, and Linda W has the evidence to show my wife. Blackmail in its finest art!  We however got Linda to get some pictures of her with the Chippendales boys.  So it works both ways Linda!

Fremont street was different, with a good light show, and excellent food. afterwards the group wanted to avoid the cab affair and opt for an limousine and a gentle ride back to the hotel.  Boy that limousine was huge!  It was fun to feel like a celebrity.  We were the awesome 8.

Also met up with Julie.  This lady has a lot of talent with making her "dolls", as well as making them feel alive to us. Julie has a very natural way about her that makes a person feel welcome.

I finally met up with a lady that I only had "words' with on the list. Elsie it was a pleasure meeting you.  You are an extremely nice and intelligent person.  I have to say, Elsie was nothing like I thought, and meeting her was beyond my expectations.  I sincerely hope that she will come to the Philly Con, as I feel I've gained more than I given with my visit with her.

Another person that changed me, was finally meeting up with Pearl!  I had a different picture in my mind.  It now doesn't matter to me whether she is a democrat, and I am an republican, I found her sense of humor to far outweigh any political difference we may have.

I've met and corrupted a few people with gambling (craps), but I think they got a better appreciation of the game.  Gina, hope you will partner up with me again, if there is a casino anywhere near Philly.

I had a great time, and this I feel is what the Con is all about. I've learned about ways to deal with hearing loss, and is was just nice not to have to strain myself with people who have normal hearing and don't understand the problems we face with our loss.  Anyone who couldn't come to this Con, please do prepare now to come to the Philly Con in 2008.  You will never forgive yourself if you miss it.
