Plans for the SayWhatClub Minnesota style convention are being completed. The workshops are now finalized and consist of:

Bob's Circle Discussion
Medical care panel moderated by Jane Schlau
Recipe for Success by Diane Richardson and Chris Marble
Hearing dogs demo by Grete Krause and Vance Bartlett
Depression and coping by Kristen Swan
Captions, O My Captions! by Jay Wyant
Presentation by Advanced Bionics and Cochlear Americas

Our Banquet Saturday night will follow the Silent Auction which is always fun for everyone as they fight over certain items. Our featured speaker is Dr.Jane Schlau, long time SWC member.

Several tours are planned for attendees which include a Twin City Highlights Bus tour and a River Boat Dinner Cruise. The Mall of America is of course one of the bigger attractions. I recently discovered that the Mall ranks just behind Disney World and the Grand Canyon as the most visited tourist attraction in the United States.

There is plenty more information to be found at the con website as well, so be sure to visit it. Recent updates include a listing of the Silent Auction items that have been received to date.

As I mentioned in the last newsletter, the main attraction of the SWC conventions is the chance to meet with other SWC members. We hope to see many of you in Minnesota next month.
