Where is proper help for the deaf/blind?

There are prisons for murderers, thieves, etc.
There are hospitals for sick people.
There are Institutions for insane people.
There are Nursing Homes - for what?
I thought a Nursing Home was a place to nurse a patient. Yet, from what I have seen - this is not the case.
Patients are NOT being nursed, they are being handled the way the staff sees fit. The patient is helpless.
Yet, what is there for the deaf/blind? NOTHING. They are not being treated properly. They are being talked to - their pen and paper are being ignored, if they are still able to read large print. They are being talked to at a distance, although they are only able to see a person's mouth one foot away. Useless it is how many times they have been told that the person is deaf/blind - it does not sink in.
This kind of treatment can easily drive a person insane.
Will justice never be done for the deaf/blind that also have a lot of their own problems to deal with? A lot of money is being spent on useless matters. Yet, not enough is being done for us, who suffer from an invisible disability day and night, non-stop, including horrible Tinnitus, which nearly drives us to commit suicide in order to get peace. What is the result? WE ARE BEING CHASTISED FOR THAT. Why are the nurses and staff not trained to communicate and care for people who are deaf/blind? If there are facilities and services available for other people's illnesses and disabilities then there should also be facilities and services for the deaf/blind.
