The SayWhatClub Convention will be held at the Philadelphia Holiday Inn Historic District in Philadelphia, PA. The dates of our convention are July 9-12, 2008.
Included in the price of registration will be a free Continental Breakfast before the workshops on Thursday and Friday. Saturday there will be a full buffet breakfast along with our Town Meeting and on Saturday evening there will be a cash bar and then a full sit down dinner also included in the registration cost.
Wednesday evening we will begin registration and have a Welcome Reception with our finger foods being prepared by the Hotel. It is a time for meeting and greeting old friends and also a time to get to meet new ones. Putting names to faces is a real treat.
Thursday morning and Friday morning will be workshops. The planned workshops include a variety of topics. Wendy Chang will be speaking to us on Listening to Music,
Ellen Luse and Neil Bauman, well known SWC members will be conducting a presentation on Medications, with a question and answer session included. The CI companies will be there and this year will be telling us about using Assistive Listening Devices. Along with all these wonderful workshops we will have another member on the Friends List and our CART reporter for the con doing a presentation on Remote CART. This will be a really interesting experience as she has arranged for Remote CART to be done while she is doing her presentation.
Saturday evening our entertainment will be different and not a speaker. You will have to wait for future details on our special treat.
Each afternoon and evening there will be plenty of free time to explore the city of Philadelphia with many people wanting to explore via the DUCKS. Gina Devita will be our host for that experience.
In the evenings the hospitality room will be open and we will have some planned activities for those that prefer to stay and join in the fun. Of course there will also be time for socializing and just enjoying the company of one another.
