Voice of the Editor

As the year 2003 comes to a close so does my tenure as editor of SWC Online Voices.

It has been a good run; I found working with such an outstanding newsletter staff most rewarding.

I am pleased to announce that the SWC BOD has selected Barbara Bavido to take over as editor of SWC Online Voices for the coming year. She has been fully engaged in this edition of the newsletter and has demonstrated she is fully competent and creative in such an enterprise.

I wish to thank the entire staff of the SWC Online Voices for all the continual dedication and contribution to making the SWC Newsletter all that it is.

~~~Thank YOU, Bob, for your guidance and leadership this year!
The Newsletter Staff
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As a longstanding member of SWC it is both an honor and a privilege to work as the editor of the SWC Online Voices. Mr. Charisma, Bobeee, himself, will be a tough act to follow. I have a lot to learn, the transition was rocky, and I am forever grateful to Julie, Arthur, Ann and Bob eee for their patient hand holding. Without them, this newsletter wouldn't be here.

I plan to continue in working alongside this dedicated group of volunteers throughout the upcoming year. Online Voices will continue to be the voice of our whole club. Collectively our voices are stronger, linked by hearing loss and the Internet we are a family. Let's all continue to share ourselves with those seeking answers. In giving those surfing the Internet a brief glimpse into our voices 'heard' here, perhaps we can help reduce the isolation felt by someone new to hearing loss. I need you! SWC needs you, but most importantly, those new to hearing loss need you.

Please feel free to contact me with suggestions, questions, volunteering your services or article submissions. Thank you for this opportunity,
Barbara Bavido
