EMERICK, Joan M. of Binghamton
Joan M. Emerick, 42, joined her father, Jack Emerick, on Friday, March 29, 2002 unexpectedly at St. Vincent's Hospital, Los Angeles, Calif. She is survived by her mother, Lea Emerick, Endwell; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Diane Emerick, Vestal; Michele and Frank Brown, Ithaca; a niece and nephew, Kate and Michael Brown and her cat, Sadie. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Catholic Deaf Community. She graduated from SUNY Morrisville with a Registered Nurses Degree, Gallaudet University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters Degree in Social Work from Syracuse University. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 133 Main St., Johnson City on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SPEAK, 351 Flint Rd., Maine, N.Y. 13777, or Project PAW, 127 Bevier St, Binghamton, N.Y. 13904, or the Humane Society, 2 Jackson St., Binghamton, N.Y. 13903 in Joan Emerick's memory. Arrangements are by the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc, 150 Main St., Johnson City, N.Y.
