I never had the opportunity to meet Joanie in person. But shared many chats with her both private and in the SWC chat rooms. She came to about every one when she felt well enough. She was one person I could always count on being there on Monday and Wednesday chats... as well as the International Chat on Saturdays.

She will always hold a special memory for me; she planned her "condom" surprise for me and then was not able to go to the Con herself. But a few "friends" made sure I received the "centerpiece" I still have "parts" of it... and always will. I don't think a chat went by without her reminding me she thought of me at the Con even when she could not go.

I will really miss her friendship and joking around.
